Casa Da Eira is located close to the river Sil Canyon, Ribeira Sacra,in the proivince of Ourense. It's a rustic granite stone house with traditional balcony, flower garden and orchard. Romanesque art, hiking and canoeing are all popular activities here. A Casa da Eira is an ancient farm house from 1920 restored in traditional style in 2001. We are 40 minutes from Ourense and 10 minutes from the Parador de Santo Estevo. The accommodation has generous communal areas, a garden facing south and a balcony from which one can enjoy views of the River Sil Canyon. The communal space is good for reading, share the table and exchange experiences with other travellers or to have a board game at nightfall. There are three rooms:a living room and dinning room with open fire on the ground floor and the two reading rooms on the intermediate and first floor which allow each guest to find a quiet place and you can benefit from the free cafeteria-self-service with fair trade tea and coffee. In September 2005 A Casa da Eira achieved the quality certification Q Calidad Turistica. A Casa da Eira is in the midst of the historic area of Ribeira Sacra with its considerable number of Romanesque monasteries. Our village, Albergueria, is located at the upper part of the River Sil Canyon and surrounded by hundred-year-old chestnut woods. Numerous activities can be undertaken in the near surroundings such as cultural trips, hill walking, canoeing, climbing swimming in the nearby dam, mountain biking, adventure sports and boat excursions through the River Sil Canyon.
