Casa Rural Cova da Balea

A Cova da Balea is located a few metres from the sea and nearest beach,close to the port of Aldán. The accommodation was formerly used for repairing fishing nets and comprises of stone and wood of traditional appearance in contrast with its modern interior. It has 5 double rooms with bathroom, minibar, TV, heating and porch covered terrace overlooking a relaxing, landscaped garden. There is also at the back a plantation of herbs and a small orchard. At the entrance, an ivy covered pergola provides private parking.

Aldan is a beautiful traditional fishing village 5 km from Cangas del Morrazo, the house is located in the inlet of the estuary.The Ria de Aldan is the smallest in the Rias Baixas which ends are out Udra and Punta Couso. Aldan's situation is privileged and it is very well connected to the A-9 that runs north-south through Galicia, through the newly constructed road to Morrazo, which ends at Aldán It means that in less than an hour you can reach Santiago and Vigo and Pontevedra in 20 or 30 minutes.

Aldan is a delightful seaside village surrounded by mountains,interspersed with numerous beaches, clear water and white sand. It is located on the Peninsula do Morrazo, flanked to the south by the Ria de Vigo and to the north,Pontevedra.Nearby places to visit include the whole of religious architecture in the nearby parish of Hio: the rectory, the church with the Romanesque doorway of the12th century and the famous 'Cruceiro of Hio.'

In the mountain of Facho, located on the coast of Soavela, archaeological excavations are being conducted with important findings of pre-Roman remains. You can enjoy the amazing views and sunsets from here.

In the far south coast of Soavela (Costa da Vela) is Cabo Home, which has along with its two lighthouses, Melide the beautiful beach, with the Cies Islands at your fingertips. In the far north is Punta Couso and the Ons Islands.

The most outstanding beaches besides the Melide are Menduiña, Areacova, Francon, Castineiras, Nerga,Limens and Barra naturist beach.

There are lots of activities : maritime excursions to the Islas Cies and Ons ( National Park of the Atlantic Islands), sea fishing, canoeing, sailing, golf, horse riding, hiking, etc ....
