Description

This tour combines the magic of Christmas lights with the rich heritage of Santiago de Compostela. We'll start at the Carreira do Conde Christmas Market, full of crafts, decorations, and local products. We'll then head to the Convent of Las Mercedarias, where we'll admire its façade with the sculptural group of the Annunciation sculpted by Mateo Prado and its link with the religious tradition of the order. In San Fiz de Solovio, you'll discover the tympanum of the Epiphany and a handmade nativity scene with over 250 figures that attracts thousands of visitors every year. In the Plaza de Platerías, we'll talk about the Campus Stellae, the lights that guided the discovery of the apostle's tomb, and we'll check out reliefs of the Epiphany and the Flight into Egypt. We'll finish in the Plaza del Obradoiro, under the huge metal Christmas tree and the monumental lighting that turns this space into the city's festive heart.
