Yesterday we were at the Sabucedo community center for Samhain. They celebrate a festival called V Musa, with its traditional procession of the "sinners and the Holy Company." After the incantation next to the church, there was free queimada (a traditional Galician alcoholic beverage). We arrived just as the procession was leaving the mill, surrounded by many people and a lively atmosphere. Afterwards, we went to the community center, the only bar in town, with affordable prices and a very friendly atmosphere. We tried a delicious chorizo ​​sandwich for only €3.50, and they even accept card payments—a real plus in a small village. The woman behind the bar was very kind, as were all the locals. They offered us delicious chestnuts and welcomed us as if we were locals, despite being "outsiders." It was a fun night filled with excellent service and genuine rural hospitality. A simple but heartfelt celebration, where you feel like you belong.
