Amazing seafood oriented menu. Very balanced, flavors complement each other well. Super attentive staff. Were even able to open a special requested wine for us. Highly recommended.
I rarely dine at Michelin Star restaurants anymore because of some past disappointments, but once in a while I try one again. The atmosphere and service were great, as can be expected. I choose the least expensive menu (180) mostly because I was going to have an extensive tasting menu later that evening. My evaluation of the food is of course relative to its cost. The initial soup was pretty, but the server didn't fill the cup very well and I hot little more than one sip. I have to say that the amuse bouche and petit four had the most interesting flavors of the meal. The cannelloni was a bit sweet and lacked any counterpoint such as a bit of acid. The chard was nearly impossible to cut and was difficult to eat. The broth was also a bit salty and otherwise there wasn't much flavor here. The egg in cream cheese was good, a simple dish. The tuna was very fresh, but lacked dynamic flavors. The beef was perfectly cooked, but overall rather salty (and I like salt). The first dessert was very refreshing, the second one also pleasant. Overall, it was a rather unexceptional meal for the price. Maybe it was a mistake to choose this menu, as the other ones probably feature more innovative cooking. But I noticed that most tables were having the same. Traveling through Spain for 3 weeks, I have had similar extensive tasting menus for less than half the cost. It is clear that one is paying for the stars, and that is why I usually avoid them because, as in this case, they mostly aren't worth it.
Celebrated a surprise lunch birthday here - they went beyond expectations! The setting is relaxed with elegance. I always like that the table is round thus everyone enjoyed the beautiful sea & garden view the restaurant offers. There are lot of points that this place is of higher state than a one star michelin : from the comfortable chair, napkins being replenished, cutleries is set up accordingly rather than lining it up at once. The plates used in every dish is accurate to savour the food in the right manner. The timing of every dish is excellent. The staff are looking smart without arrogance unlike most fancy restaurants in other parts of the world. Now, let’s talk about the food: I must say it started and ended with the same first class grace and tastes - standing ovation for me all in all. An honour to be eating here - Chef Javier Olleros hats off for your hospitality and magnificent passion you created on everything served to us. You inspired someone so special in our family!! Muchos gracias!!! Two Michelin Stars ✨
