My husband and I stayed in this hotel in July, part of an organized group. Unfortunately , to our disappointment and without any explanation we were booked into a smaller building , not the main hotel where we arrived , across a very busy road. Our room was facing the main road and as it was hot we had to sleep with the window open; it was very noisy all night with traffic , which , of course meant we didn’t sleep well at all. During our stay we discovered some of our group were lucky enough to be staying in the main hotel, obviously with much better facilities than ours. This seems very unfair and no explanation was given when I enquired at reception. The main hotel itself has good facilities , but i would not recommend staying here if you are booked into the smaller establishment.
We've been coming here for years as part of our holiday.Very friendly,helpful, informative staff who do all they can for us and clients. There are many who repeat year after year. The food is varied and abundant. Breakfasts have improved with the offers of bacon,every type of cooked eggs, as well as their usual wide variety of bread,cakes ,cold meats,cereals,fresh fruit etc. A vegetarian friend has been well catered for at every meal.Our room has a great view of the countryside as far as La Toja and wonderful sunsets.Not all have this.It goes without saying how clean and comfortable everywhere is. The hard working staff , spa facilities and well tended gardens add to our holiday experience. We have a car to get around the many nearby beaches,towns and villages.There is a large carpark at the hotel. There is also a local bus service with stops nearby and in July,August a special bus provided by the hotel for clients to Sanxenxo I believe.We look forward to returning to Nuevo Astur.
