We really loved this restaurant. The dishes were light and fresh, with herbs and vegetables from their own garden. The flavors were beautifully balanced and not overloaded with heavy sauces or unnecessary accents. It was also a pleasant surprise that, in addition to the main menu, there were special extra dishes. The presentation was very aesthetic, and the service was highly professional, with genuine attention to every guest. I would especially like to mention their interesting use of fermentation — the non-dairy kefir was absolutely delicious. The desserts were outstanding. And the best proof of how good they were: this was the first restaurant where my wife didn’t share her dessert with me :) Highly recommended! Really enjoyed the work of the chef and the team.
What an experience. After the good food, very well explain in every detail, an excellent services, table clean in every course, good wine, good desert. The one and only Lucia Freitas comes to the table and explain everything so naturally that you want to eat again, obviously on another day because after more that 10 courses of the taste menu, you need to rest. She makes every time you spend in A Tafona an unforgettable experience
To celebrate our final night in Santiago after completing the Camino, we treated ourselves to the full tasting menu at A Tafona, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The restaurant’s exquisite design provided a sophisticated and serene backdrop for what turned out to be a culinary highlight of our trip. The attention to detail in every dish was second to none; the courses were perfectly paced and consistently impressive. We were genuinely blown away by the creativity and quality of the meal. Furthermore, the service was impeccable—discreet, professional, and very friendly. We are already looking forward to returning on our next Camino. A must-visit for anyone looking for a world-class dining experience in Santiago
I arrived at the restaurant without a reservation and although it was fully booked, they were quick at finding me a table. The service was great, really helpful. The dishes were fun and well presented. Everything of very high quality. I’ll come back.
