Just popped by on the off chance to see if we could make a reservation and we're advised they could accommodate us there and then. Super ambiance Great service (in English) Delicious food And all for a very reasonable price If you are visiting A Coruna book in advance as this is a must visit place whilst your in the area
As a solo traveller, it can sometimes be difficult to get a table at restaurants like this. I walked in on Friday with low hopes but lo and behold. They were able to accompany me on one of the tables for 2 that arrived at 10:30 so I had 2 hours to enjoy the Terreo experience. I had the option to choose some of the plates and make them into a menu which is another thing that is really great for me as a solo diner. Needless to say the quality of both the foodz wine pairing and the service is exquisite. Really try this place if you are in Coruña.
Ok so the name of this restaurant literally means casual kitchen Terreo...but it's far from casual and not just a normal kitchen. I wanted to try on my last day in town food beyond the typical tapas in town and saw this and decided to try...boy was i first surprised by how hidden in plain site it was...so much so that the taxi had to slowdown just to find...it's low light inside...for intimate or romantic experience but all types come here from families and groups to couples...reservations are highly recommended as it is on the space is on the smaller side. Ambiance is definitely chic but comfortable and not over the top with silverware and table cloths and cups..so in this sense it does live to its casual naming. But what truly sets this place apart and thus a Michelin badge is the food. Quite simply great. I tried rheir "arroz" which means rice which is quite similar to a paella and it was simply exquisitely done. They don't have salads as its not custumary but they did accomodated me with roasted vegetables to accompany my meal. They have an extensive wine collection of which a wide array is on display in the dining room. The service is quite attentive and friendly. I will cerainly come back.
I don't tend to give 5 stars, but this place deserves 5/5! The service was super professional, friendly and quick! The place is very popular and quite small so you gotta book well in advance. The platting was beautiful and the flavours were outstanding. I would highly recommend this place! We loved everything we ate as we ordered the mussels, the focaccia with anchovies ( although the bread doesn't look like a focaccia), the black rice, the tuna, the croquetas, the lasagna and finally for dessert the chocolate cake and the tiramisu. This place is probably now becoming my favourite in Coruña, the other restaurants got to keep up!
