Top class hotel, rooms large, modern and mine had a fantastic view. just near the beach
We stayed at this hotel following a friend's recommendation, and we now recommend it as well. The building is beautiful, with a palace style architecture and lovely views. The room was spacious and well lit, as were the bathroom and wardrobe area. We had a balcony overlooking the beach and the rear gardens. The amenities were of good quality, and bathrobes and slippers were already available in the room upon arrival. The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. We only felt that having at least one chair by the working station would have been useful. We mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday, and we really appreciated the fact that, without us requesting anything, they left us a thoughtful gift in the room. The hotel is located in a quiet area and relatively close to the centre of Vigo. Free parking is also a great advantage. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. As for the spa, it is pleasant but relatively small. We found €30 per person (€25 if booked for two people) to be a bit expensive for only 55 minutes of access. In addition, the slippers sold at the spa were not very good. We had a great experience.
Great hotel near the coast! Hubby rented a bike and came here to collect it. Staff is so friendly and go above and beyond to help you. Such a beautiful place, I would be coming here in soon for a romantic weekend ❤️
Hotel Pazo de los Escudos has many strong points: the staff are lovely, the grounds are beautiful, and the rooms are very comfortable. Free parking is a real bonus, especially these days, and it makes a great base to explore Galicia. That said, a few details kept it from feeling truly five-star. The bar area, with its white marble, felt a bit too clinical and unwelcoming, and its terrace sits in the shade in the evening — which means even in September it quickly gets chilly. In the restaurant, the food itself was very nice, but it was served on cold plates so it didn’t stay warm for long, and the background radio playing chart hits didn’t really match the atmosphere you’d expect from a 5-star dining experience. Massages in the Spa were decent. We had asked well in advance for a double bed and still ended up with two singles. Overall, it’s a good hotel with excellent staff and facilities, but it didn’t quite deliver that warm, luxurious “home away from home” feel you’d expect at this level.
