Casa 5 Puertas (house with 5 doors) is located in the heart of Old Town of Pontevedra, near the Church of Santa Maria, an architectural jewel worth visiting. The restaurant was renovated in the year 1890, achieving a noble and elegant character, which is defined by the combination of stone and wood décor with a modern and contemporary twist, which can be seen in its four rooms which are separated, creating an atmosphere of privacy very popular among the guests.It also has a private room for up to 12 people, ideal for holding any type of dinner both company and family, with all the amenities, so that after dinner you can have a chat, and diners can extend their stay until they finish. The kitchen is amazing, from the best fish of the estuary, to the best seafood if ordered in advance, to a large assortment of Iberian meats and we cannot forget its award-winning Spanish Tortilla (National Award in 2004). Special mention is deserved for its desserts all home-made with household ingredients, a delight for the palate. The restaurant has a large wine cellar, with more than 450 different wines, both Galician and from La Rioja. If you are visiting the area, visit here, and you will enjoy exquisite dishes full pampered by the staff of the house, excellent professionals that make a repeat visit, wonderful.
