Playa Club
Galicia
The Playa Club in La Coruña- which as the name implies happens to belong to the La Liga football club R.C.Deportivo de La Coruña , with a trophy display actually found inside - boasts unparalleled views of the Riazor and Orzán beaches and has fast gained a reputation for excellent haute cuisine. Chef Janus Blanco offers up some sumptuous meals for all tastes; fish with pumpkin noodles and seaweed, hake with fennel and roasted peppers, barnacles with cream of celeriac and cold tomato soup with razor noodles are just several examples of the culinary delights served up here.
Although part of a bigger complex (including other restaurants and different parts of the football club), Playa Club still retains the Galician charm more common to eateries found in the centre of town. Dining late in the evening, customers will no doubt enjoy seeing the Tower of Hercules' light frame the landscape.
Food type: International, Seafood, Galician.
