The Monte Real Club de Yates was established beneath the walls of a 14th-century fortress in the centee of Baioan next to the entrance to the Parador. The facilities and services offered to visiting boats are among the finest in the world and are available throughout the year. The Rías Bajas of Galicia are a sailor's paradise. Thanks to the mild climate, cruising and racing can take place all winter-long, a very important factor for the Club when competing as host for international racing events. The Club has now made three consecutive challenges for the America's Cup and organized nine World championships among other important events.
