Experience an authentic encounter with a herd of horses in the remote landscapes of Mañón, in northern Galicia. Guided by local hosts, you’ll walk through meadows and gentle hills to reach the horses in their natural habitat. The activity adapts to the season: sometimes you’ll search for the herd in the woods, help move them between fields, or join in grooming and caring for them. Each visit includes moments of gentle interaction, observation, and learning—discover how horses communicate, who leads the group, and how to read their body language. There’s always time for photos, with guidance on when the light and mood are right.
This one-hour outdoor experience is designed for adults, teens, and families with children who can walk independently and remain calm around large animals. The terrain is rustic, so comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes are essential.
