Calle Barrera is one of the best streets in the city of La Coruña to go for a drink and to enjoy an array of freshly prepared tapas. Each bar serves it's own unique speciality, ranging from tortillas to sirloin steak. There are over 10 bars, located within a 150 metres of each other, which means that there is usually a vibrant atmosphere both inside and in front of this pedestrianised, narrow street.
No trip to La Coruña is complete without experiencing this street; its tapas, drinks, atmosphere and a chance to meet many friendly local people. If there is one tapas dish that simply has to be sampled whilst in the area, it is the 'crocodile tapa', washed down with a glass of Estrella Galicia beer.
