Discover some of the most iconic locations in Galicia on a full-day excursion from Santiago de Compostela that combines the charm of the Rías Baixas with the spectacular Costa da Morte. Accompanied by a tour guide throughout the day, you'll discover towns steeped in history, unique landscapes, and must-see places on the Galician coast.
The first stop will be Combarro, considered one of the most beautiful fishing villages in Galicia. During the guided visit, we'll explore its picturesque historic center, declared a Historic-Artistic Site, where its narrow cobblestone streets, traditional fishermen's houses, and the impressive concentration of granaries next to the estuary create a unique scene. Afterward, you'll have free time to stroll around, take pictures, or enjoy the atmosphere.
We'll continue to the exclusive island of A Toxa, famous for its hot springs and spa tradition. We'll take a short guided visit to discover some of its most iconic places, such as the unique Chapel of San Caralampio, completely covered with scallop shells, the manicured gardens, and the historic Casino de A Toxa, one of the most recognizable symbols of the island.
The route will then take us to Muxía, one of the most special destinations on the Costa da Morte. Here you'll have free time for lunch and to explore the town at your own pace. You can stroll through its fishing harbor, wander its charming streets, or visit the surroundings of the Santuario da Virxe da Barca, a place full of tradition, legends, and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean.
In the afternoon, we'll head to the impressive Finisterre Lighthouse, located at what for centuries was considered the 'end of the world'. We'll stop to take in one of the most iconic landscapes in Galicia, enjoy the views over the Atlantic, and capture unforgettable photos from this place that is so symbolic for pilgrims and travelers.
The last visit will be to the village of Finisterre, where we will take a guided tour of its historic center, the fishing harbor, and the Castle of San Carlos, a fortress built to defend the coast from attacks by sea. After the tour, you'll have free time to stroll around the harbor, buy a souvenir, or simply enjoy the seaside atmosphere before the return trip.
