Description

Immerse yourself in the culture, landscapes, and flavors of Galicia on this full-day excursion. Departing from A Coruña and Santiago, we'll take you to explore Rias Baixas, a region famous for its crystal-clear inlets, its stately villas, and of course, its unparalleled cuisine. 1. Isla de la Toja and its Capilla de Conchas Our first stop is the exclusive Isla de la Toja. During a guided visit, you'll discover why this place became the favorite spa destination of the aristocracy. We'll visit the iconic Capilla de las Conchas, a one-of-a-kind building completely covered in scallop shells, and you'll learn about the history of its famous soaps and spa products. 2. O Grove: The seafaring heart of Galicia Next, we'll head to the town of O Grove. Here, the scent of the sea fills everything. You have the choice of two options to enjoy this time: Adventure in the Ría (Recommended): Embark on a guided tour of the ría. From the water, you'll see views of Cambados, Ribeira, the Island of Arousa, and Combarro. Your tour guide will explain how the bateas (seafood farming platforms) work while you enjoy an unlimited food tasting of freshly cooked mussels accompanied by local wine. Land exploration: If you prefer not to sail, you can stroll around the harbor, visit the local market, or walk through the lively center of O Grove. 3. Cambados: Historic Site and Cradle of the Albariño We'll head to Cambados, considered one of the most beautiful and elegant towns in Galicia. After a guided visit of its old town, where the monumental Plaza de Fefiñáns stands out, you'll have free time. This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a leisurely Galician meal in one of its famous taverns and pair your dish with a glass of the best Albariño wine in the world, if you so choose. After a day full of photos, flavors, and sea breeze, we'll begin the return trip to Santiago and A Coruña.
