Description
Your tour starts at Pilgrim House on Rúa Nova 19, a five-minute walk from the cathedral square. Our team will welcome you, walk you through the route, and give you your map, tote bag and sticker.
From there, you set your own pace through the old town, stopping at 10 local businesses to meet the people behind them and taste what they make, from espresso and Galician cheese to handmade chocolate and almond cake. Every stop is happy to sell you more of anything you fall for.
Sample Santiago exists to connect visitors with the people who make this city, not just its monuments. Proceeds go to a Collective Investment Fund supporting social causes in Santiago, chosen together by the businesses on the route.
The route takes 1–2 hours. To find every stop open, start between 10:00 and 12:30 or between 16:30 and 18:00.

- Some businesses may be closed during your tour. If a stop is closed when you visit, you can return for that tasting another day, just show your map on arrival!
