Artisanal Blacksmithing Workshop: Create Your Own Piece Immerse yourself in the world of traditional blacksmithing and see up close how iron is worked with fire, heat, and blacksmithing tools. We'll start with a short introduction to the craft and a demonstration of the process, learning about the tools and some of the basic techniques used to shape metal. Then it will be time to get down to work: with the guidance of the craftsman, you can work the hot iron and make your own small piece, experiencing this ancient craft firsthand. A hands-on, up-close, and different experience designed for you to enjoy the craftsmanship and take home a piece created by you. During the experience, while other students are making their pieces, you can watch or take part in a workshop where you'll learn how to create a small wicker piece. Duration: approximately 2 hours Includes: materials, tools, and guidance throughout the activity.
