Description
Meet at Rúa Bautizados 12 in Santiago de Compostela. Travel approximately 1.5 hours by road to Vigo’s cruise port. From there, board a ferry for a one-hour crossing to the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park, including the Cíes archipelago.
The ferry anchors at Monteagudo Island near Rodas Beach, a sand stretch over one kilometer long and named the best beach worldwide by The Guardian in 2007. Upon arrival, the guide provides a brief orientation, followed by 4.5 hours of free time to explore.
Options include hiking island trails to the Cíes Lighthouse or Alto do Príncipe viewpoint, which rises 122 meters. You can also swim in the Atlantic or relax at the island’s beach bar. The group reconvenes to board the ferry back to Vigo and then returns by road to Santiago, ending an approximately 11-hour excursion.
