- Discover the best-kept treasure of the Galician coast
Description
Ons is an archipelago located at the entrance to the Ría de Pontevedra and part of the Maritime-Terrestrial National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia, along with the Cíes Islands, Sálvora Island, and Cortegada Island.
It is known for its inhabited villages on the island and the ruins of a Romanized Celtic hill fort, a spectacular lighthouse with unparalleled views, fauna and flora (with endemic and endangered species), and some of the best beaches in the world.
The Piratas de Nabia service to Ons Island lets you discover one of Galicia's most iconic natural areas in comfort and safety. The ticket includes round-trip boat transportation, with departures from various harbors in the Pontevedra estuary. It can be from Bueu or Portonovo.
In addition, passengers have the option of rounding off the experience with a guided visit, subject to availability, which is ideal for gaining an in-depth understanding of the environmental, historical, and cultural value of the Maritime-Terrestrial National Park of the Atlantic Islands. An option designed both for those looking to enjoy nature and for those seeking a more enriching and educational experience.
Please note that the estimated duration may vary depending on the departure times you choose, so in the confirmations we send you, we will confirm both the departure and the drop-off times. Our schedules can be changed on request, subject only to availability on the boat. This can be requested even on the day of travel, as long as we have not already given you your tickets.
Includes
The price includes transportation by boat from the departure point to Ons Island. It also includes a guided visit led by an accredited guide from our National Park team on the islands between September 16 and May 14, except for Easter, during the low season. During the high season (May 15 to September 15 and Easter Week), there will be the option of guided visits on the island itself led by guides from the Park Administration, not by our team of certified guides.
Advance booking is required, and it is MANDATORY to provide ID details in order to process the permits from the Xunta de Galicia, as this is a National Park and places are limited.
These places are independent of the shipping company, so the only way to confirm the booking is by issuing the permits, which we can only process if we have the details of all passengers.
Excludes
Any food or drinks that guests wish to consume on the island are not included. These expenses would be at the customer's expense.
Important Information
- It is MANDATORY to provide passenger details at the time of booking so that we can issue the National Park permits.
The Park's Administration specifically requires:
- FULL NAMES of all passengers.
- DATE OF BIRTH of all passengers.
- NATIONAL ID CARD, PASSPORT, OR OTHER ID DOCUMENT for all passengers over the age of 14.
Without this information, we cannot confirm the booking, as the only way to complete the booking is by having both the permit and the boat tickets.
