Crego y Monaguillo
Galicia
In Galician 'Crego e Monaguillo' means 'priest and altar boy', which is fitting, as this winery is owned and operated by a Catholic priest and his nephew.
The pair overhauled the family's existing winery which had produced wine for over 50 years and established Crego e Monaguillo in July 2006. Since then the Board of Wines of Galicia have awarded the winery prizes for making the best white and red wines of the region.
The proud winery encourages visitors to come and try the white (Godello) and red wines (Mencía).
