Finca Millara is a new winery whose philosophy is to create excellent natural wines.They have purchased the old vineyards of two hundred growers to crate a large estate of 2,000 square meters, becoming one of the best production areas of Denomination of Origin Ribeira Sacra. They are producing great red wines : concentrated, high colour, minerals and good tannins, essential qualities for further ageing in French oak barrels. All of the wine harvest is from their own grapes,just one kilo and a half per stock. The estate can produce 120.000 wine bottles of 0,75 cl each one , limiting the quantity with the objective of improving the quality.
The traditional winery is located A Millara, an old hamlet with twenty five houses, that they are currently rebuilding.The total build includes 700 square meters. The building is semi-buried to keep a constant temperature in a natural way, it is completely made of chestnut wood and stones from the locality with the roof made of slate integrated with the surrounding vineyards as a continuation of the natural slope of the land.
