Came into town hungry after a 4.5 hour Camino walk and this was thw first place we came by that is open for lunch again 1pm. Good atmosphere with the local men gathered for drinks and chatting. Staff speaks good English and we got our orders in fast and came out fast too. Great tasting food, great attentive service. Limited menu. Do make a visit to the restroom for a feel of being in the bird park.
I visited O Loureiro during my stay in Caldas de Reis on my Camino journey. It was dinner time and the restaurant was full. However, the waiting staff still accommodated me. She was warm and friendly. (I forgot to ask her name) Very welcoming the moment i walked through the door, and attentive service throughout my meal. I can say it's full of genuine hospitality. The food was outstanding — it was prepared to my liking and generous portion. I honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. If you’re in the area, this place is an absolute must-visit.
We went early for drinks before food service started for dinner and it filled up very fast with lines waiting as soon as food started. The food was excellent and the wait staff were wonderful at moving everything through, highly recommend going early if you’re in a group.
Nice service! The burger and the cheese cakes are amazing, and I think the cake is the top one for me this year!
A really nice bar/restaurant with very good food and drink. The Galician octopus and the scollop dishes were excellent. The squid and potatoes was OK. The pigs ears (which I tried purely for the sake of it) are an acquired taste - the mix of cartilaginous and gelatinous textures, doused in olive oil and paprika is not for everyone. Also smells quite strong. Service is a little slow but pretty good in comparison to the rest of my trip in Spain. Would highly recommend overall. Very good value for money.
