The Honey Museum (Casa de la Miel) is located in the village of Goente, close to the Bosques del Eume Nature Park, one of the best preserved ancient woodlands in Galicia. 'Miel' in spanish is honey or in Galician its 'mel'. It is run by the Galician Beekeeping Association (Asociación Gallega de Apicultura ). This museum organizes different activities to promote the world of beekeeping. There are exhibition rooms, a honey extraction and packaging room and conference room. You can also buy a range of honey related products from the shop.
