Ponte da Boga
Galicia
Winery
Adega Ponte da Boga lies in the area known as 'Terra de Caldelas', a land of extraordinary wines made from ancient grape varieties. Along the banks of the River Sil and its Grand Canyon, this land cherishes and nurtures the grapes used by Ponte da Boga to produce its wines. The Grand Canyon helps to regulate the heat thanks to the proximity of the river to the terraces, which are cultivated using age-old methods, and its privileged orientation towards the sun. Although production is relatively limited, the final product is of an unforgettable quality. 'A different wine with a touch of distinction. Two millenniums of exceptional flavour'.
Vineyards
History has it that the Roman emperors were the first to appreciate the body and flavour of the wines of this region, and it's probably true, as it was they who ordered the construction of the magnificent stone terraces that line the river banks. Situated in an area characterised by its smallholdings, the vineyards have been cultivated by generations of families. The recent creation of the denomination of origin aims to protect and preserve these traditional cultivation methods. 'Steep slopes form the home for the essence of our wine.
