Reviews
Had the octopus to start and a steak for the main — both excellent, but the steak was outstanding, especially with the chef explaining exactly how he planned to cut and cook it. Service was attentive, though the restaurant was so quiet that the staff seemed restless. Plates were taken away instantly and the next course arrived almost immediately, which felt rushed when most people would prefer a short pause. The biggest issue however was the simple ordering of wine. I asked for a specific red by the glass and was abruptly told it was only sold by the bottle. When I asked for any glass of red, the waiter responded passive‑aggressively he wasn’t sure, he would find out and never followed up. His colleague eventually sorted it, but it felt like pulling teeth. Excellent food and a lovely restaurant — the service just needs some refinement.
Five days eating out in Compostela and so far the best food. The croquetas, the grill octopus and the monkfish.
I rarely leave reviews these days, but I had to come on here and say that this was the best meal I have ever eaten in my whole life. I don't know what they did to the food, but it was absolutely delicious! Every last detail was sublime. I'd eat here again any day.
Excellent restaurant! We arrived late after attending a concert and were treated to a wonderful dinner. The chef / owner personally explained the different types of steak in detail. They were cooked to perfection! The steak tartare is NOT to be missed either. I think it's the best I've ever tasted. Service top notch, great local wine choices, and beautiful interior. A special place!
