Whatever the activity, whether that is rafting, canyoning, canoeing or kayaking, Vaguadaventura are passionate about them all!

All the activities take place in the River Minho in the area between the reservoir (the source of the river) and Frieria Arbo. This section is particularly good for sports because it is easy to access and the water is a milder temperature than other locations. Also the instructors are so familiar with this area and the conditions of the river that visitors are in safe hands.

Being out on the river means customers not only enjoy the sport but also the beautiful landscape and the variety of plants and small wildlife that are in the surrounding area.

Although Vaguadaventura offer a wide variety of whitewater sports, their specialty is rafting. The boat is driven by the rapids whilst the crew on board navigate the high waters with their oars. If you do not have any experience, it is better to start with canoe rafting as the inflatable boat is far more stable than other options.

Kayaking is also tailored to individuals’ abilities, and dictates where the lesson will take place and what level the rivers will be. They have recently started offering Hydrospeed lessons as well, which involves a sled and the customer wearing fins to propel themselves down the rapids, very exciting!
