SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

  • Do a stretch or all of St. James Way – there are 10 routes to choose from!
  • Visit Obradoiro Square and then Santiago de Compostela Cathedral
  • Take a stroll along the  Paseo de Ferradura and relax in the gardens
  • Go to the Fiesta of St. James on 25 July and watch the Botafumeiro
  • Just walk around the old town & lose yourself!

LA CORUNA

  • Visit the Tower of Hercules & admire the Atlantic Ocean
  • Take a tram ride along the Paseo Maritimo
  • Take a stroll along the marina area & admire the typical white galleries
  • See Maria Pita Square and her statue in front of the magnificent Council building
  • Watch a La Liga football match at the home of Deportivo de La Coruna, next to the sea
  • Enjoy the tapas circuit in Calle Barrera or a tapa in La Bombilla or in the hundreds of other bars like it full of surprises

VIGO

  • Go shopping in A Laxe Shopping Centre in the Port area where all the cruiseliners are moored
  • Take a stroll along the martime walkway & admire Vigo estuary
  • Sunbath on Vigo’s beaches
  • Take a look at Oyster Street & try a tapa of oysters, octopus or squid!!
  • Visit the Sea Museum
  • Enjoy the nightlife in pubs like 20th Century Rock
  • Take a short boat trip to Cangas or Moana & visit the sailor’s bars

RIAS BAJAS (BAIXAS)

  • Take a boat from Vigo,Cangas or Baiona to the Islas Cies National Park
  • Enjoy the sunset while having  a beer from the terrace of Talaso Atlantico near Baiona
  • Admire the views from Santa Tecla, A Guarda & visit the biggest celtic settlement in Galicia
  • Sunbath or swim at the Silgar beach Sanxenxo or America beach,Nigran
  • Go to the Albarino Wine Festival, Cambados on 8 August or Shellfish Festival in O Grove on 1-12 October
  • Take a catamaran from O Grove around  Arousa Bay

  • Taste a freshly caught lobster in a small fishermans restaurant in A Guarda  famous for  its lobsters
  • Go surfing on Patos beach (Panxon) where the waves are incredible

RIAS ALTAS

  • Watch the sunset at Finisterre & try its famous goose barnacles
  • Visit the historic centre of Betanzos & try its famous tortilla (potatoe omelette) with Padron peppers
  • Go surfing on the beaches of Ferrol
  • Visit the Festival of Tuna in Burela on 1 August
  • Vist the Sargadelos factory in Cervo,Lugo and buy a ceramic ornament

OTHER GREAT TIPS

  • Walk along the roman walls of Lugo
  • Take a catamaran along the River Sil, Ribeira Sacra, enjoy the spectacular views of the gorge &  visit the local wine cellars & monasteries
  • Drive up the River Mino valley from A Guarda to Portomarin & visit its historic centre
