The most beautiful hotel in our Camino route. Grand looks on interior and wonderful landscape around. The river flowing around adds the flavour. One of the best, tasty dinners in our trip.
This place is a true Gem! The hotel is in the most wonderful spot and the surrounding grounds are a treat to walk around. The food and the service are impeccable! We stayed one night while doing the Camino and had to come back for 2 more nights when we finished. You will be impressed!

A Magical Stay on Our Portuguese Coastal Camino We stayed at Hotel Torre do Río during our Portuguese Coastal Camino from Porto to Santiago de Compostela, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable surprises of our entire pilgrimage. This place is far more than a hotel — it feels like arriving at a beautifully preserved chateau tucked into nature. The grounds are extraordinary, with lush gardens, flowing water, small waterfalls, and charming historic buildings that create a peaceful, almost storybook atmosphere. The interior is richly decorated with an old‑world elegance that immediately makes you slow down and appreciate the details. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the terrace, and the service throughout our stay was excellent — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Every moment felt special. My wife absolutely loved this place, and it became one of the highlights of our Camino. Highly recommended for anyone looking for beauty, tranquility, and a truly unique experience.
