Casa Rural Graña da Acea is a tranquil retreat situated in the lush setting of As Aceas, A Coruña, within the verdant region of Galicia. The accommodation is housed in a beautifully restored 17th-century stone farmhouse, offering a glimpse into the region's rich history while providing modern comforts. It features nine spacious and well-lit double rooms, each with a private bathroom, perfectly blending tradition with comfort. These rooms are spread across two almost adjoining buildings, the main house known as Casa Grande and the annex called Palleira, which once functioned as the property's barn.
Surrounding the house, the estate extends over six hectares of landscaped garden, meadows, and woodlands, leading down to a river. Guests can revel in the tranquility and natural beauty characterized by abundant ferns, holly, chestnut trees, and ancient oaks typical of the area's Atlantic forest, particularly in the nearby Fragas do Eume Natural Park.
This rural accommodation is ideal for those seeking a quiet retreat amidst nature or planning private events. Its welcoming atmosphere is enhanced by the acceptance of pets and the provision of complimentary breakfast to guests. Casa Rural Graña da Acea offers a seasonal rate structure, encouraging direct reservations with potential discounts. It is a fitting choice for families, couples, or groups looking to explore the natural and cultural charms of the Galician countryside.

A paradise. The owners and staff are incredibly kind and charming, very attentive to your every need, taking care of every detail. The beds are very comfortable, the buildings are beautiful, the vegetation is gorgeous, and the cleanliness is impeccable. A 10 out of 10! It will be our new retreat. The location is perfect for experiencing the heart of Galicia while still being just half an hour from the sea.
We chose Casa Rural Graña da Acea for our retreat and we couldn't have made a better choice. It's a place with a unique soul; its four-century history, lovingly restored by the family, makes for an immersive and magical experience. Beyond the stunning surroundings, the best part is the warm hospitality. Everyone combines impeccable professionalism with a genuine warmth that makes you feel at home from the very first moment. You can tell they put their heart into every detail. A perfect retreat, steeped in history and with excellent service. We'll definitely be back!
A paradise! Secluded from all noise, except for the sounds of nature in its purest form. Sonia, the manager, is always attentive to the well-being of her guests.
The house is amazing with many nice touches. The service, given the limited interaction, was adequate, although on the first day at breakfast they moved us from the dining room, prioritizing another group over us (because we had a dog). Personally, I think if they accept dogs, it should be in all areas or none at all, but oh well... hence the 4 stars. They made an effort to clearly mark the location; it's easy to get to, actually. My recommendation would be either to improve the Wi-Fi or add a TV.
