Cortes de Muar are the second generation of a family of artisans with over 20 years of experience in the cheese making trade. The farm is located in the Valley of Deza (Pontevedra, Galicia), land of great dairy farm tradition.
The company produce a limited production of handmade cheese, elaborated with milk from cows that graze freely, with no artificial supplements.
The name 'The Moo Courts' comes from the idea of considering the raw material fundamental to obtain an excellent product. Cortes de Muar therefore think of cows as queens of their courts, collected at dawn after a day happy day in the fields. 'Moo' is the language of Galician cows, and revolving in 'M's' they relate the virtues of cheese (poem on the label of the cheese).
This cheese is sold in local delicatessens and specialty shops and the company have started to sell in selected outlets in London, England and are looking to expand overseas.
