We were recommended here by Hotel Pousada and this had to be one of the best meals we had on our Camino! The staff is extremely friendly, caring, and were so welcoming for a late lunch/early dinner. I highly recommend for anyone in Caldas de Reis! Not only were the meals huge portions, but we were even offered ice cream at the end.
I really enjoyed the churrasco asada. However, if you eat it solo, be hungry! The service is very friendly.
One of the best meals I had during the entire Camino. I’ve been to many restaurants, and this one stood out. We ordered 2 churrascos, which were huge portion and delicious, and 4 cheese pasta. There were three of us, and we all agreed the food was amazing and the service was impeccable. I wish I could come to this place more often. They were playing Brazilian music and they gave us ice cream at the end 😁
Incredible restaurant. Best breakfast we had on The Camino and the staff were amazing. 10 out of 10 :)
I expected a bit more from a place with a 4.8 rating. The prices may not be too high, but in my opinion they don’t match the quality. The ingredients used are not the best, and as you can see from the photos, the dishes don’t look very appealing. My pork tenderloin was pink inside, and now I have a stomach ache after eating this meat. A big plus is the bartender/waitress, who really tries to connect with customers even without speaking English. But if the kitchen keeps serving food this way, the restaurant will quickly lose its 4.8 rating — and along with it, the tourists and pilgrims who come here. Edit: My review is not meant to harm you, but to show that you have potential and room to grow. ⭐⭐⭐ Three stars is not bad, but it’s not great either. If most of your clients are pilgrims, remember that they come from all over the world and each of them has different expectations. If you slightly raise your standards, everything will likely go very well for you. Sometimes it’s just about small details, like trimming off wilted lettuce leaves or choosing a bit better quality fries. Pilgrims are people too. If they come to your restaurant and pay for something, they expect to receive a proper product. I am truly grateful to the young woman who served me — she was very kind and pleasant. But service alone cannot carry everything. The kitchen also needs to keep up. A restaurant is like a table with four legs: cleanliness, service, food, and atmosphere. In your case, the kitchen is the leg that wobbles a little. This is only my personal experience — perhaps others had a better one.
