Restaurante Area Grande is superbly located close to the Area Grande beach with breath-taking views looking out towards the Atlantic Ocean and of Monte Santa Tecla. There is ample car parking either outside or nearby, where there is a large beachside car park and children's play park.
Area Grande is housed in a modern, purpose -built building and includes a large, summer terrace with outstanding sea views. There are 3 dinning rooms which can accomodate 50 tables and a bar which serves tapas.
The food is excellent with a range of tradtional Galician dishes including shellfish, fish and meats and is superb value for money. The speciality is stuffed wild pig and lobster with rice. There is always a catch of the day; either shellfish or seafish which is great value for money .
In winter the Menu del Dia (set-price 3-course meal) is only 9€ for 3 courses and a drink. In summer this deal is priced at 12€, with the exception of August when there is no Menu del Dia.
