Restaurante O Parque is a traditional galician restaurant/cafeteria which is well located in the centre of Sabaris fronting a pleasant square close to a roman bridge on the Portuguese way to Santiago de Compostela.
Restaurante O Parque's specialities include freshly caught seafood from the local estuaries of the Ria de Vigo and Bay of Baiona and a variety of iberico pork dishes,lamb chops,ribs etc.On sundays cocido gallego(mixed pork) is available to takeaway too and occasionally there is a mobile kitchen in the square which serves pulpo a la feria (octopus).
There is an extensive range of drinks including international beers and on draught Cruzcampo Glacial,licors and a great selection of scottish malt whiskies including Macallan 12,15,18 & 25 years,Glenrothes and Laphroaig.
The food and drink can be really enjoyed in a friendly and homely atomsphere.
Restaurante O Parque is an essential stop for all amateur and professional cyclists including the 2006 Tour of France Winner Oscar Pereiro who lives nearby in Mos and whose shirt is displayed on one of the walls!
The prices are very competitive. The a la carte menu is available for 14€. Tapas range from 3.70€ to 8€ for a tapa of pulpo a la feria.
The restaurant also serves great desserts and coffees and in summer there is an outdoor terrace fronting the square which is popular at lunch and dinner time.
