Casa Ciencias La Coruña
Galicia
La Casa de las Ciencias (House of Science) was the first recognised interactive, public museum in Spain. El palacete del parque Santa Margarita has a planetarium and three floors of exhibitions: physical experiments, temporary exhibitions and scientific exhibits. In the void space of the central stairs oscillates the pendulum of Foucault. The building has lift access and toilet facilities.
The Museum is well located in the heart of the city and its gardens provide a brief respite form the hustle and bustle of the city. It´s worth a walk around the gardens to admire the setiting and the design of the Museum although there is a slight climb to get to the entrance.
What you can expect to see is exhibits about the words of science,Darwin on evolution,a photographic exhibition of objects that the visible eye cannot see, interactive experiments, an incubation display where you can see chickens hatching, the ball fountain,Newton´s apple and the top floor digital planetarium. Other exhibits worth seeing are the 3D CInema, the Open Lab,reproductiona rea, the display on locomotion, and the giant heart machine. At night you can admire the stars from the planetarium.
