Museo do Ferrocaril de Galicia (Galicia Railway Museum) comprises of a maintenance and restoration workshop for its collection of trains, and is the home of the tourist train, the 'Galaico Expreso', which is a grand and beautiful exhibition.
Visitors will learn about the history of the railway in Galicia via the various kinds of traction vehicles, coaches and wagons that travelled on its railway tracks.There are guided tours and group visits by prior appointment. Visits outside opening hours can also be arranged by appointment only. The tourist train can be hired to travel the tracks through Galicia, pulled by a steam locomotive. The train has CCTV camaras, so the engine drivers, the tracks, views of the train and the surrounding landscape can all be viewed.
Monday - Thursday: 9am - 2pm and 3:30pm - 7pm
Friday: 9am - 1pm and 3pm - 5pm
