Parque Zoológico Marcelle Natureza (Marcelle Zoological Nature Park) is an animal theme park next to the River Miño in an area of outstanding natural beauty (Terras do Miño) near Lugo.Check out the Location Plan of the Zoological Park .
The Park is actually 20 hectares in size including the animal park, unique woodland area,,car parking area,childrens play and games area and picnic areas. Marcelle Park has a number of star attractions including zebras, bears, lynx, wolves, meerkats and lemurs as well as a lot of other species (more than 50 from 5 continents, a total of 230 animals). These are all well sign posted with special lookout areas surrounded by woodland and close to the river. There is also a refreshment area with toilets and camping area and in summer you can even take a canoe down river.
There is also a great eatery Restaurant Marcelle at the entrance to the Park together with an artisan shop, game reserves, footpaths, viewpoints, camping/games area and ample car parking facilities.
Entrance Fee : From 3 to 12 years - 7,50 €, 25% discount for over 65's,family groups and people with mobility problems.
