The Škoda Superb is a luxury large family car primarily built and manufacturer in the Czech republic, a car that Škoda Auto has as its flagship car. The first version, produced from 2001 to 2008, is based on the platform of the Volkswagen Passat, shares its major mechanical components and power train, but is elongated by 10 centimeters (3.9 in). The second version is no longer based on the Passat, and has surpassed it on many professional tests. It is currently the largest and most luxurious model in Škoda's model range. The Superb name had originally been used by Škoda for luxury cars produced between 1934 and 1942.

The Volkswagen Group based on a stretched version of the latest A5 Octavia platform, this new Superb car is a five-door, five-seat liftback saloon/sedan, with an innovative tailgate that can double as a regular separate saloon boot, and full liftback, known as 'Twin-Door'.
