Vigo Zoo

Vigo Zoo is one of the most emblematic places in the city of Vigo. Vigo Zoo is an Zoological Park which blends in well with its surroundings, that maintains a careful diversity of trees and plants. It extends to 55,676 metres squared in which there is a great variety of supervised activities related to education, investigation, tourism, leisure, investigation and conservation of species.

The enclosures which house the animals are within a process of integral naturalization, and count on varied physical vegetation and necessary elements with the objective to recreate the natural habitat of each species and to provide the environmental enrichment necessary for their well-being.

The Zoo welcomes throughout the year thousands of people, between organized visits and the general public and it makes a continuous effort of improving the facilities and services as much so that the animals as well as the visitors are at home. The access roads and fences have been improved and new facilities created with the objective of arriving where the zoo is reference for fauna in the whole north-west peninsular.

The Zoo is open all year around but is closed on Mondays except on Bank Holidays.

For adults the entrance fee is €5.05 but there are a wide variety of discounts available.
